Location is not an issue as long as it is in North America or Europe.
Well- If you really want to travel, There's a great school in vienna, but will put you in major debt.
Berkley has a good program for that. I auditioned there and passed, but wanted to be an education major so chose another location.
Stay away from hart school of music- I went there and the dept for your indended major would not satisfy you.
The best thing for you too do is just look at the depts. If you like what you see, audition there

what do u do after getting a bacholer in music from a college when my major was Music Recording/Technology Concentration.. i am still in high school and was considering this major..but after u get that degree what do most people do? do they open there own studio, or apply to work at ones???? how much do audio engineers usually get paid
I am a music therapy major, but I know a bunch of SRT (Sound Recording Technology) majors, so I’m gonna bullet stuff here for you:
-as for pay, I/we don’t know where it starts, or even a general salary, because it is different for so many places, but ,like in any job, it takes time to move up the ladder into higher paying positions. But, it’s recommend you get internships during breaks while you are in college. It makes getting into the workforce a ton easier.
-as for opening your own studio, it depends on your money situation. It takes a lot of money to create a studio, to build it and to get equipment. Then you have to advertise. Most people work at other places first until they get enough to start something up for themselves. BUT, you can always do side projects/live recording and stuff like that on the side with smaller equipment that is not as expensive to purchase. You can even travel with a lot of that.
-a lot of this is what you find out at college. You figure out what you like better. you might like traveling and recording, and may never want to set up a studio. You may end up wanting to teach SRT as a professor. It all depends on what your personal opinions are.
I (we) wish you good luck!

what are some good schools for becoming a record producer?
and what are some of the qualities and things i need 2 know to become a music producer
Primarily, you need access to the equipment and software, a great ear and some musical training. Many universities in the US have music schools that have a music production/recording/tech department.

…Or questions, right now I'm thinking on the fly. A couple days ago I was thinking that I would probably want to buy a Laptop soon, so that I have my own personal computer. But the thing is, I'm also a Musician, and I want to get some music out, but I dont have any recording equipment. I remembered at my school that on the Mac's there, they have the program called Garage Band for recording music, or making it with segments. I was wondering if I could use that for recording my singing, and guitar parts (I know I need some other equipment so yes I'll go get on that), and I was also wondering what Mac would be better to get (Prefferably a MacBook), but remember I also need to make it appeal to my parents because I'm only going to be a Sophomore next year, so I need to be able to convince them I'll use it for school as well. But I always could just talk to some guy at Best Buy or something about that. Thanks In advance people! You dont know how I'm looking forward to this.
I'm afraid that garage band is an over hyped program. It's not really that good, and not comparable to a premium program. Macs are just the cool computers right now, they're not as superior as people make them to be. Plus, the mic on a macbook or any laptop isn't even good. Yelling at my dad's macbook from 08 at the top of my lungs only brings it up to half on the scale. Look into hp pavilion's artist series, they're much cooler looking than a macbook and actually have a graphics card. Then, just buy a good mic and a premium recording program with the money you saved.

First off I'm a student… so I don't have a whole lot of cash to facilitate such a transition.
I want to go to audio recording school somewhere in Europe
I'm very passionate about music (House/Dance etc), I dj and I've produced a couple of tracks.
And the way things are going right now… i don't see a very bright future.
So I need a generous heart to sponsor me. And help me achieve my dreams and goals.
If you're that person or have any good ideas please let me know.
Hi,
I found this site;
