I have a music project for school where I have to find a musician/singer that can play piano well and bring in a piece of theirs. My teacher said that we can bring in an Ipod/mp3, cd or pull it up on the computer.My school has blocked imeem.com, youtube.com, muvids.com, projectplaylist.com, music.yahoo.com and music.aol.com and the music site from msn. What websites allow you to listen to music online free (I was thinking of bringing in a piece by either Evanescence, John Legend, The Fray or Alicia Keys)? Thanks

I want to learn how to make hip-hop and rap beats. I want to know everything that I should know about music. What programs or courses should I take to fast track me and get me up to date?

You should try being a college music major. I'm a music major and much of our curriculum is music technology. It's semester after semester of digitally altering and composing. It's literally a music technology major

If School isn't the direction you want to go in- The computer program you are looking for is digital performer.

Im on a budget of around $1,000 or so. Im not that big into gaming maybe a little. I'll mainly use it for online school, music maybe a little video and photo editing. Im very impatient so I want it to run somewhat fast. But I dont need a super computer either. Can someone point me in the right direction?

If you build it yourself get the following

Intel penryn/wolfdale 45nm E8500 3.16ghz cpu
asus maximus extreme with the high end x38 chipset motherboard
2×250gb seagate hdd runing n raid mode 0
nvidia 8600gt
case,dvd etc.

or you can buy the pre built crappy systems they try to sell you.

and the rest is history.

I'm starting a business and making money and I can't regulate either of them if I am in a public school. I plan on buying a fast computer and nice synthesizer keyboard so I can make my animation videos and compose music and sell some of them and eventually start a music artist career. School takes too long and I lose a lot of sleep when I have homework and getting ready at 4 am. I do not plan to drop out and stay out of school, but rather to continue challenging school courses online at home where I can also participate in other leisure activities that in the future I will have a career in. I'm not kidding with you and i do not wish to ruin my life or anything–please understand my position
