Having your children take flute lessons will be a good choice of lessons for your children.

Here are some insights of what your child will be learning when she takes flute lessons.

You may be surprised that not only learning to play the instrument but affects your child’s growth is also what they get in the flute lessons.

1. Proper Posture when playing the Flute. When you play the flute, you must adapt the correct body posture and position that is most comfortable. This is to avoid stress and muscle pain after an extended playing time. Make sure you are in a right position when you play the flute and that is sitting straight up with your back in relaxing position. Your head in straight position with your body to properly have the breathing skills when you blow the flute. Same as when you are standing but the only difference is you exert more effort keeping yourself standing. This is a good lesson for your children to learn and take into adulthood.

2. Holding the flute. When you pick up the flute, align the mouth hole with your lips and place the majority of the flute to wards your right shoulder. This is the standard way of picking up the instrument and being ready to play it. Once in this position use the spot just below your lower lip to stabilize the flute in your hands. Be cautious, if you drop this instrument it’s going to cause major damage and you may end up dumping you instrument.

3. Play the flute with proper Left and Right hand finger positions. Hand and eye coordination is what is improved in this part of the lessons. You are also able to learn the different music keys and you might even learn a song. The left and right hand position is a very important aspect for you to learn because in this lesson the proper position on how you play will be the ticket to your improvement.

4. Safehandling of the Instrument. Be responsible! Take care of your instrument at all times. It is very important that you take good care of your flute so that it will last for years. The instrument is relatively expensive and you wouldn’t want to replace it soon. Should it be damaged, repairs will also be very costly for this instrument. So strive to be really diligent and take care of it like you would your best friend.

5. Enjoy playing. A child should enjoy the experience as much as possible. Learning should also be fun for you while you gain knowledge and develop your talents. The flute lessons are the most appropriate lessons I could suggest for your children because it is a light instrument and easy instrument to learn. Your children will definitely enjoy the lessons they will be taking in and surely will learn a lot from it, not just how to play it but also how to grow with it.

Your children will learn a lot about music when they take the flute lessons but also they will learn a few lessons in life that will teach them based on their experiences in taking this lessons.
